We’re thrilled to congratulate Prof Sharon Naismith, Chief Investigator of the SIESTA program, on receiving the ADNeT Mid-Career Researcher Award at this year’s Australian Dementia Research Forum.

This award pays tribute to the late Irene Mona Martin and recognises innovative contributions to dementia research advancements. It’s a fitting recognition of Sharon’s outstanding leadership in the field — particularly her work at the intersection of sleep and dementia prevention, her commitment to translational science, and her tireless support for early- and mid-career researchers.

As the lead of SIESTA, Sharon continues to champion collaboration between researchers, clinicians, and people with lived experience. We’re proud to see her contributions acknowledged through this special award.

Congratulations, Sharon!
