We are proud to highlight the incredible work of our SIESTA-supported students, who recently presented their exciting research on sleep and brain health.

Our two PhD students, Clara Tan and Victor Vidal, alongside Honours student Nicholas Whelan, shared their projects at the USYD Sleep and Circadian ECR Showcase, each contributing new insights into the role of sleep in cognitive ageing and dementia risk.

Their presentations included:
🔹 Remote Sleep-Dependent Memory Assessment in Older Adults with Cognitive Concerns
🔹 Investigating Stability of Sleep-Dependent Memory Consolidation
🔹 Sleep and the Integrity of Perivascular Pathways in Older Adults at Risk for Dementia

We are thrilled to see Clara, Victor, and Nicholas leading innovative work at the intersection of sleep and dementia research. Their passion, commitment, and curiosity reflect the future of SIESTA’s mission to better understand and address sleep and cognitive health.

Stay tuned for more updates on student-led projects and opportunities!
